Boarding Requirements
Your cat must be vaccinated against cat flu. The annual vaccination needs to have been administered within 12 months of the boarding departure date. Kittens need to be over 12 weeks old and have 3 vaccinations. Cats boarding with us must be neutered (with the exception of kittens under 6 months old). We require an effective flea treatment be applied prior to arrival. If any evidence of fleas is found, we will apply an Advantage treatment for $20.
Rates
Rates are charged per day or part thereof (not per night):
- 1 cat $27 (single pen)
- 2 cats $46 (double pen)
- 3 cats $58 (double pen)
If you have more than three cats, we can configure pens to meet your individual needs. There is a public holiday surcharge of $5 per cat and a 10% discount for stays of 29 days or more.
Deposits and Payment
For bookings over $600 we require a 50% deposit at the time of check in. Payment in full is on departure for all bookings. We don’t charge a cancellation fee, but if your plans change, please to let us know asap.
Feeding and Litter
Cats are fed a minimum of twice per day. Advance or Blackhawk dry food is offered in the morning, and roo mince, tuna or Whiskas is offered at night. If your cat is on a special diet or fussy, you can provide your own food. We use Breeders Choice cat litter. Eating and toileting is monitored daily to ensure the health and wellbeing of the cats in our care.
Pens
Each cat has its own pen and doesn’t mix with other cats. Our pens are walk in with two levels to create a private, comfortable bedding area, and we provide everything needed for a comfortable stay. You may bring along bedding or favourite toys if you wish. (No scratch posts or bulky items that will clutter the floor area.) Pen setups can be tailored to suite cats with mobility issues or cats that need more privacy while settling in.
Times
Drop-off and pick-up times are below, and please allow a minimum 10 minutes for check in. Please bring your cat in a secured carrier. We will label and store it here for you.
- Monday – Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm
- Sunday – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Public Holidays – 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Medication and Veterinary Care
If your cat is on medication, we can administer most forms; however, we do not give injections. Please speak to us about your cat’s requirements when you book. If your cat becomes ill or needs veterinary care, we will contact you and advise of treatment required. All costs incurred for vet care and treatment will be at your expense.
Holiday Bookings
It is advised to book well in advance for the holiday periods. Over Christmas there is a minimum stay of seven days and four days over Easter. In September we confirm all dates for Christmas and ask for a $100 nonrefundable deposit.
